Not Sister Calamus, That is For Sure

Dear Diary,

I have been continuing to complain to Mrs. Boo that lately I have not received much in the way of work from Pope Leo.  Instead he has been using Sister Taedere and now Sister Tritus.  Now I have to choose between a sin against charity or a sin against truth.  Charity it is.  Sister Taedere is boring;  Sister Tritus writes as if she was force fed the collected works of Pope Francis and regurgitates them on command.

That is terrible.  I am sounding like one of those Catholic bloggers who post all the time on twitter.  Something else to confess tomorrow.  But it is the Truth Dear Diary.

I really need to get out of Rome back to my garden at the convent in Nashville.  Perhaps I should approach his Holiness and use language that a baseball fan like him can comprehend.  Play me or trade me, as my dear Daddy would put it.  I will sleep on it.

Someone who follows the Word of God ought to have a better respect for language.
The purpose of language is to convey an idea clearly and accurately. Anything less is either ineffective or defective – or both!

“… must be renewed.”

The unspoken addition to that is “by anyone or anything other than God.”

My saintly wife used to say, the pope has one job. To clearly speak the truth. Sad that a fourth grade catechism teacher has a better perspective than Rome.

The Gospel Truth must be continually affirmed or else nonsense like this creeps in.

“(…must be continually renewed.)

Evangelization is continually renewed by the death and birth of all human beings. ” The truth is ever ancient, ever new” Saint Augustine.
Jesus Christ renewed in eternity? Something loose.
