I know, I know. Popes meet all sorts of dubious characters as they go about their days. However, that argument only takes us so far. Thus far the Pope seems passionate about man made climate change and support for illegal aliens. He says the right words on cultural issues, but there seems to be zero passion there. Like his predecessor, his heart seems to be with the Left, and everything else is lip service.

We can be sure… there was a long.. discussion on abortion, infanticide and trans-insanity. Just because.
John 15:
18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own.
Don, I think you misspelled Crook County.
I stand corrected JFK!
I used to give great deference to clerics. But that was when I was young and stupid.
LKL, I’m 62 and at times, stupid. The cardinal electors did what a majority of American voters did twice.. put someone from Cook County, Illinois in charge. One big mistake after another.
Now I have even more reason to feel sick and ashamed at seeing this picture: my husband’s comment on this was that he believes the Church is totally corrupt, he’s “done” with it and will never go to Mass again. 🙁
I will pray for him Elaine.
Elaine.
Prayers work. He will be in my prayers this weekend too.
Thank you all for your prayers. This is something I have prayed about for years with no visible results but we have to persevere, of course.
Elaine, your husband will be added to my prayers at Mass tonight.
My husband did not attend Mass with me and the boys for about 5 years. I don’t know what set him off..a homily or didn’t want to sit in the balcony like the boys wanted to.
I did not nag; just prayed. Apparently he did attend noon Mass by his work in DC unbeknowst to me. Then one Sunday after we had moved to the farm he started to attend Mass. He had become friends with the new resident priest a former marine. “When I mort I want you to find Fr. X and ask him to do my funeral.”
Recently he has decided to go the 5 Saturday Mass (unless Navy or LSU has an evening game; otherwise he will attend 9 and lector).
Elaine, give your husband a chance to simmer down. The Church is not the Pope or certain imbecilic appointments he makes or asinine comments he makes.
Pope Prevost was told to his face by Cardinal Burke and the President of the Republic of Poland to do away with TC. Continuing the nauseating ban of the Traditional Latin Mass and it’s numerous growing communities is a grater son than enacting it in the first place. I have become so angered by poor Novus Ordo masses that I would not go to another one on a regular basis on Sundays.
The Church suffered through the Western Schism, Pope Borgia, the Turks, the oppression dealt her in so many parts of the world. We WILL.survive this. Not without injuries external and internal, but we will survive this. I mean the Catholic Church, not the Second Vatican Council Church of 1960-something. That needs to go.
