News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:
NEW YORK CITY, NY — Local terrorist Muhammad Mohammed al Muhammad shared a heart-wrenching story about how he got dirty looks while boarding the subway in a suicide vest after 9/11.
“There I was minding my own business, when I got the nastiest looks,” Muhammad said, holding back tears. “I wasn’t doing anything special — just wearing a suicide vest and holding an AK-47 — but people gave me such hateful looks. They were judging me because I was Muslim.”
Though Muhammad admitted he was a terrorist and was about to kill hundreds of people, he said it was unfair of people to treat him that way. “Just because some people did something on 9/11, it didn’t give them the right to treat me that way.”
Since telling his story, Muhammad was honored by mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani at a campaign event. “No one has suffered more from September 11th than this man,” Mamdani said, calling Muhammad a brave and hard worker who contributes so much to the city of New York. “This brave man had to stop taking the subway because he did not feel safe. To this day, he still lives with the trauma.”
“It’s disgraceful.”
Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa tried to point out that Muhammad’s story was likely false since Mohammad had never ridden on a subway and currently lives in Guantanamo Bay for plotting a terrorist attack.
Go here to read the rest. That is your cue Norm:

There is a young Turkish boy (probably in his 20’s) who popped up in my Instagram feed. He was a Muslim who converted to Catholicism around the time of Covid. He was shunned by his family. I don’t think they have seen him in years.
He posts various things about Islam falsehoods and reveals the hypocrisy of the Koran, its inconsistency, and particularly about Mohammad.
He also talks about why Christianity is the ultimate Truth. It’s interesting listening to him and his journey. He has a Gen Z style about him, but he is inspiring nonetheless and you can see the Holy Spirit working in him.
He has posted that he knows of various young Muslim men who have fled to fight with Isis who deeply regret it. He talks about how Islam brainwashes the individual from birth.
And if you read his comments section, you would be surprised as to the number of Muslim converts to Christianity. Many cannot be public about it, because you know Islam being the “religion of tolerance and Peace” (not).
What I like about his conversion is that when asked why he converted specifically to Catholicism, his answer was that it is the only Church with a consistent Truth that has defended the Faith from Heresy since its establishment and also that is the most influential Religion in the world. Good comment. God Bless him- courageous young man.
