If anyone else had proposed this, I would say it had some good ideas, but I could not imagine how it could possibly succeed. With Trump, I think the odds are still against it, but he has a way of making the improbable become probable. We shall see. One thing about Trump, no one can say that he is not willing, even eager, to take on almost impossible tasks.

A waste of time. It will not be acceptable to the “Palestinians” nor to the hoards of “protesters” all over the world. Every deal ever offered was rejected. As long as Isreal remains in the deal, they will reject it.
I thought it was ok until Point 6. Offering amnesty to Hamas if they surrender their weapons. A) they will never surrender their weapons and B) they are programmed terrorists who need to be deprogrammed before they are given freedom back into mainstream society.
Hamas won’t agree to this. And they can’t be trusted passage anywhere. Their neighbours don’t want them. Best send them to Iran.
I give Trump credit about his peaceful approach. He really does not like war.
There are countless ways this could go off the rails. The stick for Hamas is that Trump has given the Israelis a blank check if Hamas won’t play ball.
This could be brilliant 4-D chess.
If Hamas takes the deal, Israel gets all of their hostages back right away. What monkey wrench falls into the gears after that is anybody’s guess.
If Hamas doesn’t take the deal, everything that ensues (annexation of the West Bank, displacement of populations, etc.) will be on Hamas … And Israel can come out of it all looking like the peace-loving party in all this.
The Mossad will find, target and liquidate Hamas leaders if it takes a century.
It’s not just the leaders that are a concern, it’s the foot soldiers. When Australia let in Lebanese Muslim immigration during the 80’s and early 90’s, they brought in a war mentality due to the civil war which led to a wave of organised crime. You can’t dump a group of people programmed to act like militia into a peaceful society. You are inviting problems.
