How humiliating for the little Mary to crush his prideful head. His days are getting shorter.
Too bad for him. Chained in hell forever. Good riddance. What a great day it will be.
At the conclusion of the movie, Triumph of the Heart, [ the story of St Maximilian Kolbe’s last days on Earth ] the cell mates who were slowly dieing off due to starvation, welcomed Kolbe into the Home eternal. There they were, feasting and dancing. Laughter and song. Mother Mary, Immaculata, guided him to that Polish Home tucked away in the woods. Snow was abundant and you could see the firelight blazing through the windows.
A brilliant scene.
Satan lost.
Philip, I don’t think I could watch Triumph of the Heart without getting angry. I am three generations removed from Poland and yet, to this day, when I watch or read almost anything of the repression and murder of Poles it boils my blood.
I get ticked off when radtrads trash St. Faustina and Divine Mercy or John Paul II (not the best administrator, but a man of immense courage).
Off topic rant…..it is a good thing to take pride in certain things….one’s work, one’s children but that is different from sinful pride, the pride that thinks and believes one is better than others.
Penguins Fan.
I have great respect for Saint Faustina, Kolbe, Our Lady of Jansa Gora and especially my Pope, St. Pope John Paul II. The Polish heart is a remarkable one. Living in Cedar Michigan, a Polish community, I’m surrounded by family.
They are family, not by blood, but by Spirit.
I love them.
One day, most likely long time from now, I’ll ask Jesus to show you what He did, His Works, through a goof ball like me. The miracles of conversion that happened while praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for souls.
As St. Paul said; “I boast of Our Lord Jesus and Him Crucified.”
I myself, am nothing but a worm.
God does it all.
That he would stoop down to use a broken reed like me is just incredibly generous and loving.
His generosity can never be outdone by ours.
Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for souls, especially those that are on their deathbeds.
