Compassion?
Empathy?
Wisdom?
A spirit is welcomed inside.

The ghost in the machine is making an appearance and I have a feeling that it’s a very jealous ghost.

This is too sci-fi for me, yet it’s here.
Now I’m wondering if I’m being to sceptical bc of my age or is my scepticism valid?

I’ll ask Alexa.👀

I sometimes use Grok AI for basic personal research that would otherwise require a great deal of time. But all AI is entirely given over to popular liberal progressive ideology on the fiction of anthropogenic climate change, transgenderism and sexual ethics (or the lack thereof), etc. Under no circumstances is it to be trusted for any safety-related or quality-related application, and especially is it not to be trusted for psychological counselling of any sort. Two of the many nuclear-related references on AI control are provided below. Ethics, transparency, bias, prejudice, privacy protection, non-proliferation, risk management, etc., all play huge roles in its deployment in a regulated environment. The one thing that worries me most is that the technocrats who code its algorithms and train it for use have no foundation in Judeo-Christian ethics and morality, nor in Greco-Roman law and philosophy. So all the fancy words in the various applicable references mean nothing if the people doing the programming are godless liberal progressive Democrats, and most of them are. Or alternatively, just think about how the Chinese communists in their atheism are programming their AI.

Amen, LQC. Every day I see YT channels purporting to present the words, and sometimes allegedly recorded speeches or homilies, of figures ranging from Popes Leo XIV, Francis, Benedict XVI and JP2, to Padre Pio, Bishop Barron, and various others. Almost all of them are fake, LLM-generated videos designed to exploit the monetization features of the platform. I’m not sure that “AI is going to kill the Internet”, as some of the more excitable types in the wilds of Reddit are saying, but it’s definitely a problem.

Also, that X post reminded me of a scene from the SF film THX 1138, where the protagonist goes into a “confession booth” and interacts with an artificial entity clearly intended to represent Christ. Creepy stuff.

And they also have AI write most of their papers for school and work. I’m sure all politicians love this development, as they can now use AI interaction to control what their voters think, which in some ways, is what both parties are doing. Why is the human so scary to some people now? I don’t get it.

And the AI Data Centers will be nuclear powered, not dependent of fossil fuel supply.

You still need a human to develop and update the AI Software. You still need a human to monitor the platforms. You can never rid any medium from requesting human involvement. The problem is the moral compass (or lack thereof) of the humans developing these platforms.

The problem is the technology is being released and the regulations are coming later. Meanwhile the kids that grew up in the era of unregulated social media, AI etc…are being affected the most.

Australia is now implementing a ban on social media access for individuals under the age of 16. This means that by the end of 2025, social media companies will be required to prevent users under 16 from creating or accessing accounts on their platforms. The Australian Government passed the Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Bill 2024. Technology companies will be fined if they don’t comply. It’s a bipartisan effort to fix the problems of online bullying, mental health..

The other problem is that the majority of kids that grew up and went into IT or similar fields have a reduced capacity of morality. Philip is spot on- The affects that a computer/phone has on the brains ability to empathise, think and relate as a human would/should is diminished. These kids think they are super human. Literally. Unbridled technological advancement is frightening and we are seeing repercussions every day.

LQC:
ALL “Federal lands and waterways” belong to each and every citizen in joint and common tenancy.
Clinton tried to take it by an executive order. Obama tried to take private farms through executive order 13575 Rural Councils using the EPA.
Civil servants elected to serve are ordinary citizens who own everything in common.
You own it all and I own it all. The American Flag, the land, the waters, the nation; SEE: Supreme Court case INDWELLERS. The court said that citizens may live in national parks.
Amendment 8
“Excessive bail shall not be required, not excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments be inflicted.”
Like $25,000 fine for filling in one’s own driveway culvert with road stone (EPA)
$100,000 fine for not baking a gay-wedding cake destroying Melissa’s Sweet Cakes livelihood and with her four children.
Power greedy tyrants have turned America into the American gulag.
May God bless and keep America. May the Immaculate Conception mother us all.
My go around with AI resulted in a stalemate since I know what I know. Jesus Christ is the Revelation of God and AI is stuck in the last century. Soon AI may be telling citizens that the world is flat and that the earth is the center of the universe or that the island of Guam will tip over if all of the inhabitants stand on one side of the island. AI will tell us that the world needs divine rulers to rule over us, that we, the people are not sovereign persons and AI owns it all.
As Al Bundy said in Married with Children: “Who is Al Dente”?

AI is a machine. Machines break down. Knowledge increases. AI does not have moral integrity.

Teach every young person that you know. This is your duty and responsibility. It was always foolish to assume “they’ll just pick it up themselves” but it’s a dereliction of duty to do so now. If they don’t know even the bare basics (ex. if they are nervous about even boiling water when it comes to teaching) then teach them the bare basics.

LQC, I was trying to get Grok to avoid NPR, etc. as sources. It snarkily suggested I find another AI. Sorry I got sidetracked 30 yrs ago, when AI was new, and I wanted to build my own, just to have someone to talk to. ( Not in a good space, then, but still sorry I didn’t persevere.)
As for current AI, my generation had Tarot and the I Ching. I think this might be worse, as it will not be so easy to walk away from.
