They spell it correctly before spelling it incorrectly. This is akin to misspelling a word on an essay in which said word is in the prompt.
I’m also fighting my inner Inigo Montoya to stop me from musing about postmodern word choices…
I despair over what the future of writing will be, and I cringe whenever I read an email by someone under the age of thirty, ugh! I find it hard to believe how much better of an eduction I received and this was a Southern California public education at that. Even the University of California system was much better in the 1970 -80s.
I work with some of the (supposedly) smartest people in the world at “Neutrons ‘R Us,” but few have any demonstrated ability at coherent writing, whether technical or otherwise. Equally, few are able to understand a language other than English, and given their poor English writing skills, one wonders if they even understand English. What scares me is that these people do safety-related calculations, and code safety-related software. If they can not effectively and correctly use the “code” for speech among English speakers, than how can they possibly be trusted to code safety-related software? Their software requirements specifications, software design descriptions, software test plans, etc., are so poorly written with truly very bad English that I wonder if they understand at all what they are trying to code.
One thing that has helped my ability in English is knowing Latin, though becoming familiar with any foreign language will help. I find it ever fascinating that liberal progressives are the first to demand we all become inclusive and tolerant, yet invariably they neither understand nor have any intention of learning a foreign language, and they are the ones usually worst in ability to speak and write coherently in English. Oh, and yes, “Neutrons ‘R Us” is a “left coast” company.
The terms ‘fascism’, ‘communism’, and ‘Marxism’ are vastly overused in political discussion. So is ‘Nazi’, but it’s seldom used non-ironically. Progtrash have taken to yammering about ‘white supremacy’ now that people have stopped giving a rip when they’re called ‘racists’.

What the Democratic Party is after is a system akin to that operated by the PRI in Mexico (1920-2000). Rigged elections they never lose. state-owned industry, rampant street crime, and utterly corrupt insider cliques distributing patronage all over the place. They’ll add to that an army of imported labor meant to keep the natives down.
Josh, don’t fight Inigo. He’s even more right about “fascism” than he was about “inconceivable.”
When you use the word hundreds of times a day, you’re going to misspell it every once in a while.
Is facism the opposite of buttism?
“Most modern ills in this country can be traced to the breakdown of the family and the breakdown of education.”
I see a rather increasing number of posters on certain blogs (*cough* Instapundit *cough*) saying that most modern ills in this country can be traced to giving women the vote. 🙁
Incels will be always with us Elaine!
John Lott published an econometric study about 30 years ago presenting evidence for the effects of women’s suffrage on political economy. Lott is happy to be outré and economics faculties refused to hire him for it.

One issue we’re facing is the evolution of girl culture over a period of 60 years. We have a large corps of unmarried women with a very cockeyed understanding of how to navigate mundane life and this has its analogue in their assessment of the world abstract to them. I don’t have many Catholics (or meticulous Christians generally) in my family, so I see the implications of this in the lives of my relatives, particularly those born after 1980. The mental health trade, the educational apparat, the generators of the kultursmog, and Bozo parents have all played a part in bringing this state of affairs about.
Ask Mark Shea how to spell fascism. He uses it all the time to criticize anyone who dissagrees with him.
