I’m still waiting for leaked recording of him blowing his top at some toady, releasing a verbal tirade of insults and profanities.
It would have been easy to hit record on a phone and then slip it into a pocket before meeting with him.
What? I’m shocked that Francis would act like Bugnini and all the rest and lie to get his way, liturgically or otherwise.
While I wasn’t alive at the time, this is shaping up to have a feel of an ecclesiastical equivalent to De-Stalinization.
All that’s missing is for Pope Leo to make a denunciation speech to a group of bishops. Won’t happen, of course, but slowly as the facts come in and the Francissplainers can’t deny them, the quicker things accelerate.
If I recall correctly, there were bishops who said they never even received a questionnaire nor were they consulted at any time prior to the release of TC. Everyone knew at the time Pope Francis had an axe to grind against traditional Catholicism and was bent on weaponizing the 1962 Missal to create further schism. So, none of this should shock anyone.
It looks like Mike Lewis at Where Peter Is has addressed it and has taken the position that there’s really nothing to see here.
Can’t say it’s pleasant having lived through a time of a bad Pope, and many bad Bishops.
But it is PROOF…. isn’t it?
You know, I’m reminded of Fr Z commenting often about how, if he were elected pope, …we would almost never hear from him. Thinking that might be good.
Point is, …I’m not sure I want to know about Francis or his Curia. I saw plenty enough…idiocy…without any help.
I would like to see Leo reinstate Summorum Pontificum, I would like to see the Church admit to how “serving the poor” has brought many close to treason. I would like to see the Church admit that majority populations in any nation… have dignity. Majorities, by being majorities, ..are not intrinsically racist or sexist filth. …I would like to see the Church remind everyone that “man” refers to man and woman both. I’m remarkably weary of “inclusive” language. I would like to see the Church publicly confront academia and other sources, remind them how “permissive” intent contributed most to sex abuse. Demand lawyers pay back every cent of sex abuse “penance”, demand they be accountable for defamation. I’d like to see the Church condemn prejudice against single men inherent in Safe Environment criteria. …I’m very weary of what little I DO know about the Church’s politics.
Most of this will not happen.
I thus would like for Pope Leo to merely reinstate Summorum Pontificum.

The idea that hell is empty is grounded in the idea that man is too stupid to deserve hell.

With hell established mortal sin is to be taken seriously. Heretics, sodomites who were taught in seminary that sodomy is not sinful, sex abusers and traffickers, wife beaters, blasphemers, fornicators and all evil doers need to take note. Pope Leo XIV has taken an axe to the root of the heresy. Now, the ship of the Vatican is being up righted.
Also, the priest being the third party to a relationship between Jesus Christ and the penitent in the Sacrament of Penance, the seal of Confession cannot be violated in a court of law since Jesus Christ cannot be subpoenaed.
The aborted child in Roe v. Wade was not properly represented as “their Creator”, God, was banned from the court of law.

However, in classic tone-deaf authoritarian-Francis fashion, the new very-pro Francis archbishop of Detroit, Abp. Weisenburger , has forged ahead in an announcement June 30th with closing 13 of the very well-attended 17 Latin Mass locations in the archdiocese that former Abp. Vigneron had authorized. The not-usually-friendly Detroit Free Press has called it a “crack down:”

The Detroit archdiocese Mass attendance and financial support is in a free-fall, but Weisenburger (who also parroted the Bergoglio open-immigration talking points to get advanced from Tucson diocese) is coming in to office shooting the wounded and beating the staff til morale improves.
