The next Catholic you encounter who claims that elections do not matter, if you can do so safely and without injuring them, please lovingly kick their tail.

The state is looking to justify the use of their tape recording of the Sacrament of Confession which the state has already done.
Otherwise, hearsay is completely inadmissible in a court of law. The priest is a third party to a relationship of Jesus and the penitent.

In twenty to thirty years, the Catholic Church will be suppressed on the West Coast. The goal of the Democratic Party is the destruction of society so they can “rebuild it” in its own godless image. Each West Coast state keeps adding to anti-Catholic / Christian laws with each passing year.

Very often elections have no consequences, because inner-ringers conspire contra the interests of the general public. When Glitch McConnell is calling the shots, elections have no consequences. That having been said, the people telling you that are jonesing for excuses to vote Democratic or slam Catholic Republicans.

That bill was obviously unconstitutional, and the Democrats who wrote it, sponsored it, passed it and signed it into law knew that the entire time. Now the Justice Department has to get involved, it goes to court, and it will be quashed— as anyone even remotely familiar with the Constitution knows it will be.

This deeply bigoted and unconstitutional (and frankly unenforceable) ‘law’ was passed purely as a piece of theater by bigoted Dems pandering to their equally bigoted base. Both the politicians and their leftist base have shown us that:

1). They couldn’t care less about what the Constitution says.

2). They don’t care that their political stunt will cost considerable taxpayer dollars and government resources to litigate. In a more perfect world, those lawmakers would be billed personally for the costs incurred quashing this farce of a ‘law’.

3). They don’t care about being seen as politicians who will use their powers to target citizens they don’t like— in this case, priests of a Church they despise. These are the same people who will fight tooth and nail to block the enforcement of laws mandating abortionists report suspected sexual abuse/ human trafficking when minors are brought into Planned Parenthood facilities— so their mewling about “protecting the children” is nothing but empty posturing.

I feel sorry for any sane, upright person still living in Washington state.

In Canada, two politician seeking Trudeu’s job promised to tax the Catholic Church.
Donations, gifts, stipends and behests are non taxable. Parishioners have paid their taxes as citizens. Parishioners then will be paying two taxes for one vote. Taxation without representation; unconstitutional.
If taxation cannot be avoided, then the Catholic Church becomes a taxpayer.
Ha, ha. Then the Catholic Church becomes eligible for all benefits of a taxpayer. Free Catholic School education. Maintenance of the Catholic school building, the playgrounds. Maybe even the upkeep of the Catholic Church building and pensions for the Catholic priests. Keep the issue going….

Do the people of Washington State know that their representatives are excommunicated for violating the Seal of Confession by taping the Sacrament of Penance between a priest and a convict as they have; for they already did?

Instead of wringing his hands about Trump using force to prevent the mad mullahs in Iran from getting nukes, pope Leo XIV should be publicly condemning this. He should also pressure U.S. Bishops to do the same en masse.
