Donald Trump is the most peace loving man to occupy the White House, probably since the first man to have non-consecutive terms, President Grover Cleveland. Of course he receives virtually no praise for this, with his adversaries, ludicrously, routinely calling him a warmonger. Compare and contrast this with Barack Obama who received a Nobel Peace Prize for no discernible reason. However, the poet wisely says:
Glory, honor, praise and profit,
Are but toys of tinsel worth.
Render up your work, unasking,
Leave the human clay to earth.
Trump’s newly found peace will be needed to defend against the Muhammadans.
Teddy Roosevelt was also a peace president despite his previous actions in the Spanish-American War. He brokered the end of the Russian-Japanese war and brought a modicum of peace to an area of North Africa during the Perdicarias affair. He also ensured the peaceful division of Samoa which remains today. Finally, there are many who believe if he had been reelected in 1912,he would have had some success at keeping the US out of WW I.
At the very least TR would have made a much different peace than Wilson.
