A quote from 2010 should not be labeled as a Leo XIV quote. He certainly wasn’t Pope then so it doesn’t carry the same weight. Additionally once the Pope, it is possible that he may be better and more careful due to the effects of the Office.

Expose it and eliminate it from the body of Christ. Too many actors doing the work of Satan to defile His Holy Catholic Church.

For Pope Leo the XIV it’s time to air out the smoke which has been accumulating for over 100 years. Christ is the victor. Satan and his minions have no place in Holy Catholic Church.

I like him too. I feel that we once again have a true Holy Father. If a mission rosary bouquet if sent him, he will not denigrate it. He will not slap the hand of someone who reaches out to him. I feel I could talk to him or write a letter. I think he has already begun to renew the papacy.

He seems to be a genuinely likeable and decent man. That is most welcome after the last dozen years.

But personnel being policy, I will reserve judgment.

I will wait a bit and see. We’ve just had a very pleasant first date, but now entirely too many articles and commentaries are already planning the wedding.

So far, I am very happy with Pope Leo XIV. However, after 12 years of heterodoxy and frankly, utter foolishness in the previous Pontificate, as Dale Price wrote, “But personnel being policy, I will reserve judgment.”

Again, I likely won’t agree with the current Pontiff when it comes to immigration, social justice, economics, energy policy, the environment, etc. Nevertheless, it really seems that Pope Leo XIV will try to do things from an authentically Catholic paradigm. We can all disagree about immigration, social justice, economics, energy policy, the environment, etc. But dogma and doctrine matter: Jesus is the ONLY way, NOT Allah, NOT Buddha; LGBTQ is sin never to be blessed; transgenderism is a crime against humanity; make real theologically sound provisions for divorce and re-married instead of waving a magic wand and say it’s ok; no more Pachamama demon goddesses; no more statues of heresiarchs like Martin Luther; peace with our Eastern Orthodox and Anglican Continuum friends, but NOT compromise of the Faith; etc. Furthermore, substituting sentimentality for mercy negates true justice. In his pretense at being the Pope of mercy, the previous Pontiff was anything BUT merciful because he negated justice for real victims.

I just hope we will now have a normal CATHOLIC Pontificate. I don’t expect an ultra-Traditionalist. But I do expect compliance with what Vatican Council I said:

For the Holy Spirit was promised to the successors of Peter not so that they might, by his revelation, make known some new doctrine, but that, by his assistance, they might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith transmitted by the apostles.

Pope Leo gave a talk about empowering people to be critical thinkers. Critical thinkers in light of the Truth according to God.

“How do we teach young people that everything you hear or everything you read should be taken at face value… You cannot take at face value what’s offered to society by mass media.”

That what may sometimes come across as simple message, does in fact have a more subtle underlying message as part of a greater agenda and can be so damaging.

Wow. It’s what many of us have been saying for a long long time. We now have a Pope that gets it. Thanks be to God.
