The vast majority of the people demanding socialism In this country are coddled entitled brats whose parents have been supporting them since the day when they were born. They think everybody should get everything without having to work and if we only had the political will we could make sure that everybody could get everything without having to work. Little do they know as soon as you get socialism all you get is work and for very little reward because someone else is going to skim off the fruits of your labor to give it to someone else who doesn’t want to work.
Thou shalt not steal.

The Bernie bro in my family lived with his father for a period of time after his daughter was born in 2003. As far as I’m aware, he’s been otherwise self-supporting since age 18. (He left his parents’ home on his 18th birthday; he is now 42). He’s trained as and intermittently employed as a writing teacher, but he’ll work any kind of job. In the last decade he’s worked in an Amazon warehouse, worked for an import-export firm, run a sandwich shop, and I do not know what else. The dame in my family who fancies Bernie was employed intermittently from age 17, then almost continuously from age 23 to age 65; she retired a tad early to take on eldercare. Her periods of interstitial unemployment and sick leave between those ages sum to about three years. BTW, both of these people have ailments for which people are commonly granted disability benefits; they’ve never thought to apply.
When I look at the photo of this smug woman, I am reminded that socialism is evil because it puts man in the God position and thrusts God out onto the heath like King Lear.
Socialism is arrogant and patricidal. It proceeds from the conceit that one’s good judgement and good action are sufficient to manage every aspect of life. God may be said to have that “arrogance” also. The difference is that he is justified. He alone *can* manage every aspect of every life in goodness every time, because He is perfect.
Perhaps the question of salvation can be framed this: Do I wish to spend eternity ruled by a smug socialist pretender or a loving paternal King?
That seems to fall under the meme that says ‘Tell me you know nothing of communism, religion or Christianity without saying it.’ The fact that she lumps all ‘religious people’ into one big basket is cringeworthy in itself. This is what our up and coming educated classes are all about?
Ppl do not receive unconditional love from communism.
I think: “They can’t be that stupid.”
And then I remember history: “Not *all* of them, but…”
I approve. The most dangerous thing about the internet is that you can look at cute girls without having to listen to the dumb things young people say. I like the idea of a full simulation. If you want to look at her, you’ve got to put up with her.
The only place I know of successful socialism is the monastery where the monks make cheese and ale. Even there everyone works and no one is entitled as the laws of economics still apply.
Donald Link:
“The only place I know of successful socialism is the monastery where the monks make cheese and ale. Even there everyone works and no one is entitled as the laws of economics still apply”
The difference between the monastery and communism is the informed free will choice which the monastery requires and the communism denies.
The state of communism owns the people…as slaves.
She forgot “Godless”. Communist is “Godless”. Heaven is not.
