Liberals usually expect the rest of us to have the mentality commonly attributed to battered wives.
Ever since my submarine days I have worked with (and have even been friends with) homosexuals. Of course I don’t agree with homosexuality. And while I have never nor would ever attend a homosexual wedding or otherwise give assent to morally objectionable behavior, (1) I am not going to be a good influence on my homosexual friends by shoving self-righteousness in their faces, and (2) my behavior as a submarine sailor whoring around was certainly objectionable morally.
That all said, there is no room in a civilized society for normalizing gender dysphoria and accepting transgenderism.
One of our sonar techs on the old sub was gay as a lark. So what? A roommate after I got out of the Navy was equally gay. Again, so what? But if you got XY chromosomes, then you’re male, and if XX chromosomes, then female. Follow the freaking science, for goodness’ sake.
BTW, I know homosexual people who are as opposed to transgenderism as any of us. One of my old bosses at a boiling water reactor in upstate NY was homosexual and had a live-in boyfriend. He wanted nothing to do with this kind of putrid sickness, and he just wanted to be left alone to live in peace. I don’t agree with his lifestyle, but I respect him enough to honor his privacy and to not push my beliefs down his throat. It’s best to live by example and speak when asked. But Democrats – usually lilly white rich heterosexual liberals – are the ones pushing this LGBTQ crap down our throats.
Give transgender people the pyschological help that they need, and arrest and prosecute the godless Democrats normalizing sexual perversion and mutilating children in the name of transgenderism.
Heh, I’ve never heard the expression “gay as a lark”. When I first read that, I thought of “as a lark” as “on a whim”. A very odd whim for your friend!
