As I wrote on Twitter, that Professor is insane, but sadly half the United States agrees with him, and some (like my tax accountant) are actually good people. But they fervently believe that “Trump is a threat to Democracy” and must be overthrown by any means possible. This forebodes nothing good for the Republic.

I’m always partly amused (in addition to the usual amount of disturbed) when someone in a comfortable sinecure-like position calls for these sorts of drastic measures, knowing he’ll never have to be at the forefront leading the charge. Typical leftist – my demands/wants, but other people’s blood/resources.

I can’t help but think they would have hammered out a compromise within a week.”

But what kind of compromise? Wouldn’t the Confederacy insisted on some maintaining of slavery? At least for decades?

Another threat of violence on President Trump’s life:

Folks, it’s to the point now where the lunatic left must be suppressed before they start open armed violence, but I don’t know how to do that and I damn sure don’t want bloodshed. Trump’s got his faults aplenty (as we all do), but he’s far better (even with his wrongful executive order on in vitro fertilization) than any godless Democrat. Additionally, perpetrating violence like this even with Obama or Biden or (God forbid) Kamala or Hillary as President (all of whom I despise) is WRONG. We need to back away from the precipice of civil war.

I also had that book and used to spend hours with those battle maps. Sure wish I could find it. 😕

Frank, I read your post and visited EBay. I found several copies of the 1960-1961 edition for sale, most for around $10-$12. I’ve had great luck finding out-of-print books there.

eBay is where I go to find out of print books. You can usually find them for a great price, and a lot of times the seller is willing to negotiate. I found a great Confraternity Version of the Bible that I bought after a little back and forth on the price.

Lucius Quinctius, you reminded me of this post from Matt Walsh. It really shows there’s no compromise to be made.

Uh. I tried to add a picture. Let me try one more time.

Hmm… what am I doing wrong, I wonder.
