We took a short hiatus to enjoy the last week of Advent and the Octave of Christmas before restarting our fundraising drive.
Just a quick reminder, Little Vatican is the business apostolate that operates Big Pulpit, Catholic Stand, The American Catholic, Ignitum Today, and FOEDVS.
Currently, we need $1,558 recurring monthly donations in order to operate without stress. That comes out to $18,696 for 12 calendar months. So whichever target we reach first (I’ll adjust the numbers accordingly as we are reaching our goal), that would help Little Vatican from cutting any further expenses.
To briefly review why Little Vatican is requesting these funds, it’s because I normally am working with two or three contracts that help supplement the expenses of operating all the websites, i.e., Little Vatican.
All but one of those contracts have ended and I am going to be launching a Catholic non-profit to support Catholic schools on Kauai, my home island where I grew up. This non-profit is what I have been vaguely referencing to in previous funding requests for Little Vatican towards the end of 2024. It will require most of my time to operate, that is why my contracts are winding down.
I’ll unveil more details soon, but I need to reach the goal of $1,558 recurring donations, or $18,696 for 12 calendar months, in order to put all my efforts into this new endeavor.
And finally speaking of expenses, the sooner we reach this goal, the less expenses I will cut back on. Sadly, I have had to interrupt our analytics (Jetpack), CMS builder (Elementor), aggregator (WP RSS Aggregator), and many other applications due to lack of funds.
The next expense on the chopping block will be BeeHiiv, which runs the email newsletter service. Catholic Stand readers are not receiving their newsletters because I am still learning how to set up the automation for the posts. By the time I figure it out, I may have to suspend BeeHiiv (we switched from MailChimp to BeeHiiv for better service and less expense). Currently only Big Pulpit readers are receiving their newsletters, but that will end soon.
If we reach our goal, all services will return to provide a robust user friendly experience for everyone!
