In 2020 the poll average at the end had Biden ahead by 7.2, he “won” by 4.5. In 2016 Polls had Clinton ahead by 3.2. Actual results had her ahead by 2.1. The “shy” Trump voter is a real phenomenon. Let’s see what the polls are like on September 15.

Agree about the shy Trump voter. Many believe, and I can’t blame them, that their identity information is not safe with any polling agency. Nobody wants to be SWATed.
The only poll in which I participate is in the voting booth.
Reminder that even “honest” polls tend to dramatically reweight in favor of the democrats. Because that’s what everyone else does, so therefore it’s the most “accurate” way to do things.
