Ah, life in the I.O! That’s the Indian Ocean for you land lubber types. Did two Persian Gulf deployments (1988 and 1990) on an Adams Class guided missile destroyer USS Robison (DDG-12). Life as a boiler tech really sucked out there. It was worth it, though.
Such an unforced error on the part of the Harris campaign, don’t you all think? Why not just come out and say, “My VP pick decided that rather than give his life for his country, he’d let some other sucker give his.” That’s a line from Duck Soup and ought to resonate with Gen Z. (Or am I way off base here?)
Part of the appeal of Walz is that he would resonate with Middle America voters. Running out on men that you are leading slashes that mistaken belief at the knees.
I bet she’s behind him 1000% 🙂
By “she” I mean Kamala and by “him” I mean Walz.
I’m not sure if the thought that Walz will bring in the middle class is a case of the left believing their own hype, or knowingly pushing a false narrative to make later fraud seem more plausible.
There was a spot on MSNBC of all places where Steve Kornacki went through the 2020 presidential election and 2022 gubernatorial election to show that Walz’s showing was basically identical to Biden’s in Minnesota: high vote margins in the Twin Cities, so-so in Rochester (Mayo Clinic), Mankato and Moorhead (college towns), the arrowhead region (lockstep union voters), and well underwater in the rest of the state.
His point was that Walz has no draw; he only does well in places that were going to vote for democrats anyway.
Notably in every video I’ve found of his analysis, the title of the video acts like he said Walz was great (ex. “Kornacki: How Walz can help Kamala”), the other pundits on the video don’t even acknowledge any of the statistics but rather just say that Walz is a great guy, and the comment sections are full of very obviously paid shills (repeating the same lines about Tim Walz being a “great guy that appeals to normal people” or that he’ll make the election a landslide, which is not at all the type of comments you get even on pro-democrat websites.)

I saw that too. Kornacki’s an honest guy.
Walz connected to Somali fraud is latest news. MN has huge Somali population. My 2nd cousin in the Twin Cities told me the Somali clans bet on the pirates’ successes. Not sure if it is a tontine of sorts but lots of money is exchanged.
