Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
Standing on the Dover AFB tarmac Biden was checking his watch as the 13 KIA coffins were reverently unloaded from the aircraft. Inside he offended the Gold Star families with his tactless narcisstic comments. Biden oblivious to the blood on his hands. Those 13 coffins were there because of his awful decision to evacuate our troops and American citizens in haste without a plan. It me angry seeing the live footage. I said to the tv screen, “You, idiot, didn’t you listen to the brief or haven’t you watched Taking Chance!”
This is Trump at his strongest, in my opinion: his obvious care and solicitude for ordinary, suffering Americans.
I once read someone’s theory that when Trump began his campaign back in 2015, he did it for various more or less personal reasons, but that once he saw the suffering of ordinary people across the country and the hope they placed in him, it changed the tenor of his resolve. I don’t know how true it is, but it does at least have the ring of truth.
