PopeWatch: New Agatha Christie Letter

More significant for the Brits than us Yanks, since the figures are important in Britain, and Americans tend to pay much less attention to what cultural elites think.  However it is heartening that the beauty and cultural importance of the traditional mass is recognized, although for Catholics it is the sacrifice of the mass that is all important.  PopeWatch recently in a social setting explained the difference between a priest and a minister.  A priest makes a sacrifice, and in the mass the sacrifice is Christ, something that is far beyond our powers to ever completely grasp or understand.

It is a well-written appeal. I do wait with bated breath the reply from the Popesplainers about why such a letter sows division and fosters hatred.

There are some giant household names in that letter. I’m pleasantly surprised. Respect.

Since the Pope likes to kowtow to the establishment, and plays the side which suits him that day, I am wondering if this will have any impact on his attitude towards the TLM. Hope is all there is at this point.

The last time this happened an insult was granted- we are long past the time for crumbs . Bergoglio won’t be swayed nor will his fellow traveller Roche

Old American axiom; if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Applies more so for long standing traditions that cause confusion and dissention when tinkered with. All of this seems to have started by someone with entirely too much time on their hands. Note: The Eastern Churches seem to have realized this a long time ago.
