How soon before the commiedia unifies around the BS that poor Hunter did the crime, but he’s a victim of privilege?
Every crime family has its Fredo.

Joe is whispering to Hunter, “I’m taking out a life insurance policy on you. Don’t mess things up by committing suicide. They don’t pay out on a suicide, son.”
ABC this morning had a long segment unpacking the verdict. It’s three conclusions:
1 This shows Biden is not weaponizing the DOJ, because he does the right things
2 Biden is a loving and caring father with a humble and contrite son
3 Biden is a man of the people who relates to the average person
And that was about it. Some technical notes and that was the story and the main conclusions.
Not a mention in the main street media about the services rendered for the funds in question. I suppose it counts as some sort of victory that China suspended sending balloons over the US for the time being.
From the initial sweetheart plea deal it’s clear that the initial plan was to sweep this under the rug with no significant penalty for Hunter. But as Dave G notes, they certainly are trying to make use of this now that it’s happened.
The thing about the left is that they are utterly shameless, so they are willing to spin anything that happens into something good for them. Suppose that Joe ignores their plans (and the words that they had him read) and pardons Hunter anyway. You will get stories about how tremendously loving and humanizing action this is, and how Hunter wasn’t really guilty of anything in the first place. These will come from the exact same outlets that are currently saying that the fact that Joe hasn’t pardoned Hunter is proof that the justice system is unbiased.
But suppose that happens and the DNC uses this as the catalyst to swap out Joe for some other candidate. Then the same outlets will once again say that the correct thing to do would have been not to give a pardon, that Joe Biden was a horrible horrible person who did so just to cover up his own crimes, but the fact that the dems booted Joe from the ballot is proof that all the other dems are not corrupt.
Same way that things went during the pandemic. Cases go down? Well, that proves that masking and taking the jab works (and this means we should double down on all mandates). Cases go up? Well, that proves that not enough people are masking or taking the jab due to evil Republican propaganda (and say, maybe we should make statements against the official narrative illegal.)
Kevin, you owe Fredo an apology. How dare you insult him like that!
“Joe also knows that Hunter has enough on him…”
Eek! True that. Chilling, yet true.
