Trying to paint Trump as the second coming of Hitler in wrath is completely ludicrous since he was already president and took no such measures. For good or ill, Trump’s bark is always worse than his bite. In 2016 he constantly proclaim that Clinton should be locked up, and then after he was elected he decided not to prosecute her because it would be bad for the country. This is projection by the Left and a reflection of what they would gladly do to their political opponents.

There’s two reasons why the left does this, beyond projection:
1.) So that when they are called on their own behavior they can say that their opponents are lazily just throwing their accusations back at them. The uniformed member of the public either sides with the left, because they made the accusations first, or comes away thinking “well they’re probably both just as bad” even when the crimes that the left have done are well documented and the supposed crimes of the right have no evidence beyond the accusations.
2.) When it comes to specifically fearmongering about punishment, it’s often because they intend to do something that they should be punished for (or they have already done something that they know that they should be punished for). For example, you might have someone say “if the right wins, they’ll arrest their opponents afterward!” and then proceed to stuff ballot boxes. When he gets caught and arrested for election fraud, he will scream (and all the media outlets will echo) “see? I told you that they were going to go after their opponents!!!!”
As far as I am concerned, Rachel Maddow, AOC, and all the rest of the militant feminists should be thrown into jail.
If he was the second coming of Hitler, she wouldn’t be standing on her milk crate fear-mongering. She would have been “taken care of” by now.
