After being rejected by the American people at the polls in 1992, lame duck Bush thought it would be a keen idea to send to Somalia some 28,000 US troops to sort out the multitudinous problems in that land of pirates and warlords. The mission puttered along disastrously until President Clinton terminated it in 1993, but not before a lot of Somalis gulled Uncle Sucker to allow them into the US as “refugees”. Complete dupes in the Lutheran and Catholic churches in Minnesota, always happy to aid the most transparent grifters, helped make Minnesota a mecca for Somalis. This completely typical disaster is why Trump and his America First policies are so popular with so many Americans.
