I, Claudius is a book I love to reread at least every couple of years. Sometimes I listen to the Audiobook version. I’m also a huge fan of Livy and the poems of Catullus.
Livy has his flaws, but I will never forget the summer in High School when I devoured the Penguin translation of his books on the Second Punic War. I was entranced from beginning to end. Speaking of I Claudius and Livy:
