An act of courage (stating the obvious today). A brave act like this, repeated across the lands, could change everything.

Good for Peru.

My company – Neutrons ‘R Us – is pushing this transgender / LGBTQ thing down our throats. Our Training Manager is a liberal progressive feminist Democrat from public education with zero nuclear training experience, hired and promoted solely because of diversity, equity and inclusion. Our diversity training now includes test questions on transgender and LGBTQ acceptance which I am proud to say I got wrong. We have an anonymous complaint system which I tried using, but unsurprisingly, it didn’t work. A complaint to the US NRC won’t work because every Federal Agency under Biden is all beholden to this nonsense. And my argument of following the science falls on deaf ears. We’re nukes! Science means everything to us! XX chromosomes and female genitalia –> female. XY chromosomes and male genitalia –> male. Yes, for the vanishingly small number of incidences of hermaphroditism and androgyny, exceptions should and must be made. No argument there! But transgenderism is otherwise a mental aberration, and those so afflicted don’t belong in any safety-related industry like nuclear, aerospace, railroads, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, medical, etc. And no, I don’t hate LGBTQ people. I lived with a gay man after getting out of the Navy. Rent was too expensive to afford alone, so we shared a house. He and his boyfriend had downstairs, and I had upstairs. We shared bills, ate meals together, did household chores together (I mowed the grass and took care of landscaping, he did in-house cleaning), etc. He disagreed with my Catholic religion and I disagreed with his homosexuality. But everyone got along and accepted the fact that we wouldn’t see eye to eye on those things. I didn’t shove my Catholic faith down his throat, and he didn’t shove his homosexuality down mine. However, today for employment, we’re all eventually going to need to decide if we stand by Christ and get fired or capitulate. We’re not there yet, but the time is coming.

LQC:
Under DEI subject matter competence gets dismissed as white supremacy. I guess that equity would demand that if one nuclear plant has a meltdown, every functional nuclear plant would need to be sent into meltdown so there would be equality of outcome. DEI appears to reward failure.

DEI functions like the old Soviet zampolit political officer to enforce the political ideological agenda.
