The New York-based Sisters of Life have reported to the Vatican that a priest groomed and manipulated sisters while providing spiritual direction to members of the community.Â
The priest, Fr. David Nicgorski, has previously been accused of misconduct in spiritual direction, and of sexually assaulting a religious sister. His own religious order, the Oblates of the Blessed Virgin Mary, has declined to clarify the priest’s status. Â
Go here to read the rest. This villain should have long ago been stripped of his priesthood and criminally prosecuted. The powers that be in the Church do a dog and pony show every now and then, but they obviously have zip interest in taking any actions against predator clergy.
Wait until the powers that be at the Vatican have to get a job. St. Paul made tents.

I’m acquainted with a priest of the Diocese of Syracuse who was ordained in 1954 and retired in 2001. Around about 2015, he receives a letter from the chancery informing him that there have been ‘credible’ accusations of sexual misconduct against him and he is debarred from saying Mass. His name is published a few years later and the Utica paper catches up with him. He says that people who know me will pay this no mind and otherwise what can I do?
Art – you would think an innocent priest would stand down from his responsibilities until his name is cleared and an investigation is conducted. False accusations are terrible. I hope the truth triumphs for your priest friend. And if he knows he is innocent he should hold his head up and ignore the chatter. It’s hard but he must.
It’s unacceptable to move around a known predator. We have a former student from our school who joined this order. If he thought he was pushing around little meek nuns, he underestimated them. This Aussie nun is a former Rugby player.
