Man, I hope that guy got chewed out by his bishop for deliberately putting himself in danger like that. It’s at least as dangerous as an epidemic!
Thank God for heroic virtue. I hope I am granted some if the situation demands it.
When you fear commiting a Mortal Sin more than death, you are on the road to heroic virtue.
A man who fears death is a man in want.
He has not yet laid his life down for Christ.
When he does, the old man is dead, and a new man is awaken. A man who allows Christ to lead, guide and minister within himself. That new creature is molded by the pure hands of Mary Immaculate, sustained by the precious blood and renewed at each Holy Communion.
I too pray that I would be in imitation of Holy Martyrs who were in imitation of Christ himself, if and when Divine Providence opens an opportunity for complete self sacrifice. One which is void of vainglory and full of love for neighbor.
St Maximilian Kolbe… pray for us.
