Cafeteria Catholic

I am surprised that Cardinal Gregory criticized Biden at all.  Of course he will do nothing against Biden, but the anti-Catholic tilt of the Biden administration is becoming too obvious for even his well-wishers among the Catholic clergy to ignore.

Biden is obviously feeling the heat since he fell back on his constant strategy of lying:

How much of the country’s policies are made by hard core Leftist twenty somethings in the basement of the White House while Joe worries about larger issues like when he will be able to take a nap and whether is tapioca will be served on time.

Gregory is only one of many clergy who excel in the grave craft of enabling.

Meanwhile, other cafeteria Catholics find no harm in following the so-called President of the United States in his jihad against the unborn.

This is the start of a Nuclear war that shouldn’t shock anyone, except those who enable politicians who claim to be what they are not.

To help Cardinal Gregory;

a person who encourages or enables negative or self-destructive behavior in another.
“being an enabler to an addict does more harm than good.

We have past the point of being pleasant to those who aid in the destruction of innocent children.

” They” will say that holding communion back from unrepentant sinners who are politicians is a form of Eurchristic weaponry.

I would ask those folks what the unborn think of reproductive healthcare. For the politicians it doesn’t involve decapitation, just deeper thought as to his affiliation with the Holy Catholic Church.
Maybe even some humility setting upon his heart.

Invoking the Canon to help suppress the Holocaust of our lifetime is long overdue.

Calling Biden a Cafeteria Catholic won’t correct the other thousands of Cafeteria Catholics who will vote for Joe come November.

Man Up Gregory!

At this point it’s pointless to call him a cafeteria catholic because he has gone way beyond the line

Forever lurker here, but this topic interested me as a longtime ADW resident…

My contention is that the Annual Appeal in the Archdiocese of Washington is going through the floor and Cdl. Gregory/his people are hearing a lot about this. This is mostly an attempt to salvage donors but making it look like he is standing up for the Faith. I’m not sold (obviously).

Love the work here – part of my early morning routine to read.

Biden doesn’t have any real agency. (He was a sh!t when he did, however). You ever notice the sort of thing the callow youths who hold staff positions in the offices of Democratic pols ignore? You know, like this:

Demonstrations outside Teaneck synagogue over Israel-Gaza war (northjersey.com)

Shelley G on X: “BREAKING: HAPPENING NOW ⚠️ A mob of antisemitic, pro-Hamas rioters has stormed Congregation Bnai Yeshurun in Teaneck, NJ. They were met by local Jewish community members who were trying to protect the synagogue. https://t.co/65AtSoyUbA” / X (twitter.com)

Unfortunately, I have run up against (and into) the gears of the ADW machine. We left suburban DC for MD’s Eastern Shore 3 years ago. I still get Annual Appeal mail from them, which is another tell…

Time was (1960s) if a Catholic President acted like this, the Catholic vote would insure there was no chance of getting re-elected, that is, if he wasn’t impeached.

Obviously I wasn’t expecting an on-air excommunication, but I thought that Cardinal Gregory was pointed in his criticism of Biden, and tepid in his compliments. It was a missed opportunity in a few different ways, but overall I’m pleased with it.

I’m pleased with it.

Well then it doesn’t take much except a few calculated empty words to please you Pinky. I’d prefer someone like Gregory said what he really thought than come out with this dishonest rubbish.

Gregory could be direct if he wanted to, he certainly didn’t mince words when talking about President Trump.

What he said about Trump using tear gas to clear the area (which was false)
“I find it baffling and reprehensible that any Catholic facility would allow itself to be so egregiously misused and manipulated in a fashion that violates our religious principles, which call us to defend the rights of all people even those with whom we might disagree,” the nation’s highest-ranking African-American bishop said.

What he said about Biden after declaring Easter to be Trans Day Visibility: he’s a cafeteria Catholic

The only thing Gregory could say that would please me would be “I resign.” Of course, that would most likely just lead to Francis the Merciful appointing another lavender bishop to head the ADW, but you never know, it might be an improvement.

Joe and Jill did not get married in the Catholic Church. It appears that they married at the United Nations Chapel which has no affiliation with the United Nations. The clergyman was a Methodist minister.
Joe made some comment at the time that he didn’t think an annulment or something like that was necessary. “No big deal.”
