Jesuits Gotta Jesuit
Donald R. McClarey

Does NCR support nuclear power to replace carbon emitting fossil fuel? No. So they should shut the frack up.
In other news, NCR.com reports that the Titanic’s deck chairs are not in their proper place, likely due to the listing deck. This risks denying future sunbathers appropriate accommodations. Capt. Smith’s egregious lack of attention to this matter is most concerning.
Given the rate Mass attendance has dwindled and parish buildings are being closed, I’d say the American church has done a bang-up job of decarbonizing.
What more could NCR possibly ask?
Decarbonize the diocese. Does this mean fake ashes on Ash Wednesday?

He’s probably still bitter about that lump of coal Santa left him in his stocking last year.
Please do pray for those Jesuits that are (mostly) in their later 60s, 70s, and 80s, most of whom one may have kept in touch with since university days and are now usually in hospital ministry or parish ministry—men who entered before 1970 or 1975 usually, who can’t believe what’s gone on with the Jesuit order ir the papal disaster of a leadership, but have stayed faithful to their vows and to the people they tirelessly are serving night and day.
These are not the “famous” Jesuits like Thomas Reese or James Martin, who hate any day they are not in front of a TV camera. These are the ones who keep their head down, have fought through all the humiliations, and continue to quietly serve.
We should pray for them Steve. We probably need a successor order dedicated to the teachings of Saint Ignatius.
Is Pope Francis going to have pachamama officiate at his funeral rite?
Does that mean that no Catholic is allowed to eat Carbon-ara. I mean I don’t get it. 🧐
