One of my favorites
Also one of my favorites. The first time I heard it live I was reduced to tears by its majestic beauty. Along with all the bad stuff, Russia has given the world an amazing artistic legacy, especially in music.
Churchill had it right about Russia. We could probably handle the mystery part if it was not so macabre. The good music does not offset that.
Rachmaninoff was smart enough to get out in 1917.
There is nothing “infinite” about man-made stuff.
