Heresy Gets My Vote

Fr Calvin Robinson
@calvinrobinson
Can someone please explain to me what is happening here? Is this unity or heresy? Either a) Anglican orders are now seen as valid in the eyes of Rome, in which case Pope Francis is overriding Apostolicae Curae and undermining Pope Leo XIII. Would that have an impact on Papal Infallibility? Or b) Pope Francis is receiving a pontifical blessing from someone his Church declares to be a heretic. Would that mean Pope Francis is embracing heresy? Is there a more charitable interpretation?

May a successor to Francis the Worst do to him what Julius II did to Alexander VI:

I will not live in the same rooms as the Borgias lived. He [Alexander VI] desecrated the Holy Church as none before. He usurped the papal power by the devil’s aid, and I forbid under the pain of excommunication anyone to speak or think of Borgia again. His name and memory must be forgotten. It must be crossed out of every document and memorial. His reign must be obliterated. All paintings made of the Borgias or for them must be covered over with black crepe. All the tombs of the Borgias must be opened and their bodies sent back to where they belong – to Spain.

Yeah, I’m going to vote ‘heresy’.

With a side order of stupidity.

Leo XIII was crystal clear! Either this is heresy under any definition of the word, or the Catholic Church lacks all credibility.
Where’s a good Pope-deposing Holy Roman Emperor when you need him?!?

I don’t think we call it heresy anymore. I think it’s called ecumenism…same definition, different word. It’s clear he does not believe the entirety of the faith he professes.

The 2013 conclave deserves to be long forgotten. Along with the worst pope of the past 200 yrs. Frankie must be erased from the church memory and every edict he ever issued must be struck and removed. The past 11 yrs in church history never happened. He is a waste of air. Ship the body back to South America and let them take care of the debris.

The lay person can bless himself, his family and the world. The reality is that every one not inside the Catholic Church is a lay person. For what it is worth…I was blessed by a woman in the grocery store for giving her a coupon. No one can get enough blessing.
Pope Francis is emphasizing that the Anglican is not a priest but a lay person.

If the Anglican knew he as being treated as a lay person and if Pope Francis knew he was getting a lay blessing, this photo op would not exist.

Anglicans do not believe in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ, the Word of God. Jesus Christ is the Revelation of God
If Anglicans believe that Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist is a symbol, then we are all going to hell.
Jesus Christ Himself is the symbol for the real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. God knows it.Christ said it. I believe it.
