Hitler and Stalin were rivals, not opposites. As a friend and I concluded after a few drinks, if Leftwing politics were a play (and it is, sort of), the Communists had the better script writers and the Fascists the better set and costume designers. Communism dazzles the wits of fool, Fascism the eyes.

Tom- Huh? They operated under two opposing ideologies. How does someone praise both Communism and Fascism at the same time. Being rhetorical here. There is a reason why they say drinking kills brain cells. 😂
These two men were ruthless murderers. If counts are accurate, Stalin and his subordinates had more people killed than Hitler and his subordinates. Stalin started the killing earlier and had a longer rule, dying in 1953.
Stalin said that to kill one man was homicide. To kill 30,000,000 thirty million was a statistic. Stalin killed 40,000 priests, lawyers, teachers and politicians at the Kattim Forrest. Stalin blamed Hitler for the massacre. For over 50 years the world believed the lie until the truth came out.
This is everywhere. I just picked up a book called Red Memory, about the horrors of the Cultural Revolution. I didn’t get far. The author’s intro included warnings about TRUMP alongside descriptions of political prisoners, millions of people killed, and destruction of historic monuments. Returning it to the library tomorrow.
