Well said, WK. As I am sometimes a glutton for punishment, I have read enough of Mr. Ivereigh’s logorrheic emanations since his Popedaddy took office to aver that this is, indeed, the actual level of his intellectual OS. As for breathing and walking simultaneously, there seems to be much written evidence of oxygen starvation on his part, so perhaps he is not always moving and breathing at the same time, after all.
Once again, I notice a trend. Mr. Tim says the pope has done this, and this is the cross we bear. Mr. Ivereigh then responds with a screed of insults and accusations and assumption of malicious motives. Ever notice how much progressive activism depends on assuming worst motives among those who disagree?
As a convert who came to believe through a rational process (“Top Down to Jesus”), I can say there is no intellectual content in the efforts to make Church doctrine conform to the present current world-view of live and let-live.

There is no such world view today (of much consequence). The actual world view of the dominant caste in this country resembles that of an elementary schoolteacher who deserves to be hit with rubber bands and apple cores, early and often.

There is no inertia in cradle Catholics since the Holy Spirit raises us up every day.
Traditional Catholics grow in Wisdom and Grace with Jesus.
Led by old donkeys is apt. Old- yes.m but so what. Donkeys-absolutely- stupid and stubborn. They would say otherwise.
They have said it out of their own mouths- they are doing this to cause havoc because they are bored and lazy. I don’t think the damage will be long-lasting IF the next Pope is a Faithful one who doesn’t care about pleasing the secular masses.
