In movies before the era of CGI, I give a pass regarding authenticity of equipment. If you wanted a movie to stage a large tank battle, it would be difficult to obtain boatloads of Shermans or Tigers. Same with the movie Patton. When it comes to the above movie, in fact, choice of real life tanks to represent the historical ones is the least problem it had!
