I envy him his exit interview with Christ. If you want to find living Saints, the pro-life movement is a good place to start. May he now be enjoying the Beatific Vision with lots of tiny friends.
Requiescat in Pace: Chris Slattery

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
I respect any man who doesn’t scold the pregnant mother while standing on the line, but prays and offers sincere reasonings for the mother to embrace life. Standing with folks like that has made me a better man.
Eternal rewards indeed.
May perpetual light shine upon him ….
God Rest His soul. 40years doing Gods work. That’s a long time. He will know the impact he made in heaven.
A true gentleman and Catholic man of action.
His reward in Heaven is great. AMDG.
He has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from him.

If you are talking about at the level of that people like Mr. Slattery worked, yes. But at the political level, I’m afraid it’s become another grift.
Slattery was one of the leaders of the pro-life cause:

Politicians on the other hand I am always cynical about, but a necessary evil in this struggle.
