Slapping yourself on the back for following Christ is a always a bad look. You can’t spell Pharisee without Jesuit.

This is Michael Voris’ statement:

He has been dismissed from Church Militant TV for breaching its morality clause. To anyone who would like to jump on the self-righteous, sanctimonious, holier-than-thou bandwagon in humiliating him more than this already has, remember that we ALL got sex problems (we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t), and it’s only God’s grace and mercy (as well as a strong Filipina wife) that keeps mine in check (I am after all a lecherous submarine sailor). I despise and hold in contempt pious pundits like Christopher Smith above whose tweet Donald gave us. Frack them and all their works. I hope and pray for the very best for Michael Voris.
Maybe Cristopher Smith SJ is judging Voris by Jesuit standards? I think Rupnik demonstrated how lax the Jesuits’ morality clause is.
Many people are interpreting the phrase “violation of the morality clause” quite narrowly to mean some sin of a sexual nature. And some of these are having salacious fun wit it. But I don’t think we can make that easy assumption. Wouldn’t it also be a moral violation to verbally abuse coworkers and subordinates and make the workplace toxic? I watched Mr. Voris’ X video, and he appears to be a rage-filled abuse victim who would be very tough to work for or with. But in either case, he has my prayers.
Kevin Rush makes a valid point. I too assumed a sexual interpretation of the violation of Church Militant TV’s morality clause. That assumption may be erroneous. 🙁 Nevertheless, I pray and wish the best for Michael Voris, and to hell with those having salacious fun in ridiculing him. Whether this is rage-related or sex-related, every single one of us has done or is capable of doing similar or worse in one way, shape, or form.
I have never found his brand appealing or effective. It seemed to cater for a certain demographic which usually grow out of that angry phase. Almost like a Christian version of Andrew Tate. IMHO.
Michael Voris has made himself into a public figure, so it’s only natural to want to know what “morality clause” he broke. That’s to rule out speculation that it has anything to do with children…
Glad he has gone away to sort himself out. I hope he gets help.
Good commentary by Father Zuhlsdorf:

I don’t always like Father Z. – a little too heavy handed and pious for my taste (with an excessive focus on food delicacies). But he’s on target here.
