Go and sin no more. One of the more overlooked passages in The Bible, especially as it comes from this famous incident. Christ of course was without sin. It was for Him to cast the first stone. Whereas the Law of Moses was to punish sin, the Light of Christ is to redeem us from our sins and to have us lead lives free from serious sin. The best depictions of this event have the men holding stones listening to Christ as He changes their hearts, with their faces mirroring this difficult process.

Adultery without a man is called masturbation. The bible calls for both man and woman taken in adultery to be stoned to death to keep evil from our midst. Where is the adulterous man? Given a free pass by the stoners who love iniquity.
Like Adam who blamed God for “the woman you put here with me.” Eve takes, the blame for all original sin. Yet it is Adam who had the power as head of the family to redeem Eve’s transgression.
