*It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”-St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta
Your looking at the face of absolute poverty.
We will not serve.
So be it.
Our conduct on earth assures us an eternal home that we will recognize and accept.
No one that doesn’t want to serve God will be forced too. In the end, you’ll continue to serve yourself or serve God.
Pride month ends up becoming eternal Pride and the poorest of humanity made that choice for themselves. Eve or Mary Ever Virgin. One choice feminist. One path. Pick your path.
I don’t believe she truly believes that. She is digging her heals in in order to keep pushing that deep sense of emptiness that is nagging her. People don’t usually re-hash things they don’t regret. The abortion is a sticking point for her and the only question is – can she keep pushing the emptiness away for the remainder of her life?
The occasional journalism she produced prior to 1970 was engaging enough. You read collections of her writings and what hits you is the effect of ‘feminist’ affiliation on the quality of her perception.
One should recall that Gloria Steinem had an older sister (b. 1926, d. 2008). Her sister was married for nearly 60 years, produced six children, founded her own business, and was a recognized authority in her trade. Her sister and brother-in-law also arranged for the finance of her tertiary schooling in 1952. (Her mother and father were quite hopeless as earners and as caregivers). One sad appendix: when her brother-in-law died in 2013, his children didn’t place her on the list of survivors in the obituary.

I hope you don’t mind.
Tomorrow…if you have the time, or can carve out some, Michigan pro-life neighbors are heading to Lansing. Here’s the skinny;

Thank you for your considerations.
A wasted life indeed— the sort of feminism she devoted her life to has been abandoned by her fellow leftists. Today’s feminism still shares both her disdain for motherhood and her willingness to dismember infants, sure. But nowadays feminism has no idea how to define a woman, and men can be women if they say they are.
She’s 89, but instead of being the grande dame of feminism, for the left she’s just an embarrassment and a relic.
