Go here to read the story. Pope Francis has given cover to predator priests in the past. What is striking about the Rupnik case is the attempt to rehabilitate him, evidence be damned. Pope Francis is not simply a bad Pope, he is a very bad man.

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

Never liked the soul-less eyes in these paintings and what they portray, in P/persons whose eyes should shine like the S/sun.
(who would?)
David, my d pointed out the eyes, saying his horrible, creepy art makes sense now.
Pope Francis resign
I’m afraid I agree with Phil Lawler on this one. If the Barros fiasco and the victim-blaming that accompanied that didn’t do it, if protecting Zanchetta didn’t do it, if rehabilitating Danneels, McCarrick and Inzoli didn’t do it, I can’t imagine this scandal will.
I sure hope I’m wrong.
I’d say it’s not an effort to rehabilitate the man so much as he has been rehabilitated. Proof is that they just exiled the superior of the Slovene community he led, Sr. Ivanka Hosta and with whom he had a falling out. And, let’s face it, PF has removed far larger heads for far less grievance than this guy.
Not just very bad. Evil. We need to start saying it.
I’m with Frank here. These are the actions of a corrupt and evil man who wears the mask as a champion of the weak even as he grinds them down.
His only compass points are his own self-aggrandizement and the friend-enemy distinction.
Not that anyone on earth can do anything about it. And the Lord of Hosts seems to have decided to let the Roman communion drink this cup to the dregs. As Samuel warned, if you want a king, you get all that comes with it.
I am praying and hoping that by some miracle God Almighty deposes and anathematizes that heretical Marxist Peronist Caudillo and all his works of wickedness. This is the problem with having made the Pope a law unto himself subject to noone and nothing except an act of God. We were blessed with JP II and B XVI. Now we got a man of low intellectual capacity and low ethical standards on the Seat of St. Peter and there is no human agency that can reign in his excesses of corruption and heresy. Yes, I understand that other Popes have done stupid things (e.g., the saintly JP II kissing the Koran). But none of them tried to contradict and dismantle Scriptural and Magisterial teaching as Jorge Mario Bergoglio has been doing. Therefore, may our Lord Jesus Christ as the Head of the Church remove this worthless Vicar from the Papal Throne and give us a holy and righteous Pontiff.
PS, Dale Price is right: “As Samuel warned, if you want a king, you get all that comes with it.”
Can’t bring myself to read the link. I’ve read enough to make me recoil.
I worry that Rupnik is but the tip of the iceberg of what is happening in the Church. It’s humiliating trying to defend this to unbelievers. Where do you start?
I feel badly for the victims.
Not just Rupnik’s victims..but all the victims that fell prey to those in the Holy Catholic Church that this pontiff has raised, or elevated to offices within his pontificate. May these victims and their families find forgiveness for both the perpetrator but also for the enablers seeking to teach but failing to understand.
We have had Popes before that could be described as bad. The Borgia and the Medici would probably qualify. But they had a certain acumen that allowed them to be recognized as holding the Church together so that after their passing, the institution continued to function quite well. The next conclave will be interesting (Chinese definition).
David WS:
You are correct to dislike them. Rupnik’s perverted art, while aping actual icons, is anti-iconic. Black is used very sparingly, if at all, in true icons. And never with they eyes.
The black eyes are a window into his tainted soul.
Hilary White has written extensively on how Rupnik’s “art” is meant to disoriented and disturb. That it does disturb you is a sign that your spiritual radar is intact.

Does no one see that 3 eyes is a depiction of the third eye–a private part or demonic capacity? Bergoglio and the swishops do. That is why they promote this filth.
