Sometimes I see the Virgin with Child, It’s off to the upper right quadrant.
It isn’t seen in the photo above, the blown up version.
It must be without zoom, naked eye only.
The moon Illuminates the night sky. Otherwise we loose our sense of direction at night, I guess.
My no.3 said to me when she looks up at a clear blue sky she imagines Mary’s arms wrapping around you giving you a big warm hug. I like her description.
I’m not sure where I read this analogy but I did like it.
The moon is reflecting the everliving light, the Sun.
Our Lady too is reflecting the brilliance of her Son to us, especially in our darkest nights.
The Son/Sun is always with us. Sometimes are backs are turned away from them.
The moon and Mary remind us that having patience with ourselves and neighbors the Son / Sun will shine in and through us. That we too can be reflectors of the true Light.
