Millie Me

[with profound apologies to Joyce Kilmer]

I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a me.

A me exceeding all the rest,

A me so loved by me the best.

A me that looks at me all day,

And lifts my arms to me to pray.

I do not work, I do not care,

Except for me, the me so rare.

Poems are made to glory me.

My own, my god, my me, me, me.

Oh my/me gosh Guy.
That is so fitting for 2023.
I love it!

Here’s one;

In the course of human affairs, never have so few brought about the destruction of so many in such a short period of time, that those few owe so much to so many that it would be appropriate for them to bow out of the ’24 Presidential election.

No disrespect Sir Winston.

Guy.

A writer? Me?.ha ha…
No.
But I do play one on television. 😬

I haven’t located the study, but I recall that a small team from some university set out asking inhabitants of foreign lands questions related to gender dysphoria. Overwhelmingly the respondents didn’t know how to take the questions. They were baffled. “We have never had a boy want to be a girl, visa versa.

The identity crisis, in my feeble understanding of it, stems from a lack of guidance, love and purpose. Parents have substituted friendship for leadership. The abandonment of God leads one to misidentify love or lack the understanding of agape love altogether. Without the faith in/of God and beliefs in life everlasting one struggles with purpose and morals are nice thoughts only, but useless to one who only has this short lifespan worldview.

Me me me is all there is for the selfie who can’t wait to see herself in tomorrows selfies.
No God.
No peace.

Know God…and know his Peace.

Our times are surreal.
Thanks be to God that we belong to Him and He calls us brother, child and friend.
