Why would police in the UK arrest an autistic woman for allegedly stating one of them “looked like a lesbian”?
Is this really how UK citizens want their laws enforced?

Drive the old cops out and replace them with political enforcers seems to be the order of the day in the UK and the US. Harmless to criminals but a terror to law abiding citizens who aren’t woke.
I’ve heard this is a consequence of a piece of statutory legislation passed in 2009 as the Blair-Brown era was winding down. Thirteen years worth of ‘conservative’ ministries, and it has never been repealed. David Cameron might offer the excuse that he was constrained by the Liberal Democrats during the coalition ministries (2010) and Theresa May and Boris Johnson might offer they did not have enough of a margin in 2017-19. What’s the excuse for the other six years?

There’s only one way to deal with political enforcers when they can’t be voted out of office. No one should want that solution.
