Pope Bashes Traditional Catholics For The Umpteenth Time

The Pope only has a few ideas rolling around in his mind and he continually returns to them.  His hatred of traditional Catholics is a continual theme:

The Pope is a man with a mediocre mind.  He operates on a limited knowledge base leavened by pure spite for those he does not favor.

What in the world is the meaning of this avalanche of dreck?

Oh, why bother.

Today’s Orthodox Anglicans and Anglo-Catholics in the Anglican Continuum that broke away from Cantebury and the American Episcopal Church are MORE traditional and authentically Chirstian than that heretical Marxist Peronist Caudillo is ever capable of being.

Among the myriad of other things this pope knows exactly nothing about, he is also ignorant of Phariseeism. The Pharisees were the most liberal element in Jewish society. Jesus frequently criticized them for their fast-and-loose approach to the Law and their eagerness to find loopholes around its demands. But in order to know these things, Pope Ignoramus the First would actually have to know something about the Bible, which he doesn’t.

I am going to assume that at least some of the “doctrinal intransigence” the Pope bemoans is regarding the “family life” teachings regarding contraception, divorce, etc. I think this is a reasonable assumption given AB Fernandez now leading the Dicastery for the Doctrine of Faith.
.
The Pope may want to brush up on Mary Eberstadt’s work in How the West Really Lost God and Adam and Even after the PIll (revisited). The Church has an extremely bumpy ride ahead of Her.

Wow. His rant, read carefully, perfectly describes the people he represents, the group oxymoronically referred to as “Leftist Catholics.” Project much, Francis?

I noticed that too, Frank. He says “… Men clad of sacred forms that actually continue to think and act according to the fashions of the world” and “… temptations of power and social influence” but I hear “Climate Change” and “immigration”. The man reduces himself to a caricature every time he speaks.

“..men clad in sacred forms that actually continue to think and act according to the fashions of the world.”

Yup. Describe this pontificate perfectly.

Wow. Three of us have the same thought all of the same time. And since this is a letter supposedly he gave some thought to it. Sorry. My mistake.

The church may have a bumpy ride ahead of her, true, but she will be whole and will not fail. Unfortunate as it is, the pontificate of PF will be remembered for it’s ambiguities. Muddying life giving waters only need time and stillness to reclaim the clarity.
I pray that the successor will be worthy of the office.

I thought Cackles could build a pretty good word salad, but she’s a piker compared to ol’ Jorge.

What on Earth happened to the child Jorge to bring forth Francis? I remember, during the Lockdown, watching an Easter Mass live from St. Peter’s. At one point, I saw the Pope walking, alone, towards the altar in a nearly empty vast beauty, and, for a moment, was nearly overwhelmed by sorrow and pity at the visual allegory of the moment. I don’t like him. I don’t trust him. But I try to remember to pray for him.

The author’s cursory analysis is spoken like that of someone with a truly spiteful, mediocre mind.

There is nothing cursory about the analysis and the comments. Read Matthew 23 where Christ Himself denounced the Scribes and the Pharisees for not practicing what they preached. In Mark 7 He also blasted them for Corban.
*
6 And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
*
‘This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
7 in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’
*
8 You leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men.”
*
9 And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition! 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him surely die’; 11 but you say, ‘If a man tells his father or his mother, What you would have gained from me is Corban’ (that is, given to God)— 12 then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother, 13 thus making void the word of God through your tradition which you hand on. And many such things you do.”
*
Creating human traditions is what progressives in the Church are all about. That is their project. The Church in Germany is the very essence of Corban. It also looks like the Synod is all about creating all manner of Corban-like human traditions.
*
The website “The Pope Francis Little/Bumper Book of Insults” is loaded with papal spite. A veritable papal rock pile for Pope Francis to stone anyone who he disagrees with.

I see a future, no too distant, where a huge schism occurs and liberal catholics will form their own church and call those left the schismatics. Those left will follow the traditions of the 2000+ year old Church; The true Church

Pope Francis s jealous of traditional Catholics because traditional Catholics are holier than he and Pope Francis is spiritually lazy.
