Let us hope the snarky humor indicates a minimum of dour leftist influence.
The humor sounds more like student council than administration.
Of course education is an end, schooling only a means. I can school someone, but he has to accept, process and reflect on his own learning and experience to acquire an education, a process only complete years after he’s left my classroom. That’s why (in 41 years of teaching) I refused to be called an “educator”. Everyone is his own educator and no one really the educator of another, no matter how numerous his teachers.
Education teaches people how to think.
Indoctrination teaches people what to think.
