PopeWatch: Correct

Too many Catholics are bone ignorant of the history of the Church.  Francis is an extreme example, but bad popes are not that unusual in the life of the Church.

And with that PopeWatch will be on Fourth of July hiatus until July 5, 2023.

“Bergoglio is not a pope in any meaningful sense”

If by (small “p”) pope he means father, I agree. He’s far more like an angry old spinster.

My take is that Bergoglio has done more to educate previously confused Catholics, that papal worship is not part of the correct teachings of God’s church. Let’s give him full credit for that.

Don, wait till he dies and we’ll see if he got rid of papal worship. Within 3 days of his death, there will be some calling for his beatification. My prediction.

Bad Popes. Yes. A previous Pope who has made so many heretical statements and done so much damage. No.

Odds of getting a bad pope have to be at least one in 12, right?

Pope Francis was present at a ceremony in the Vatican Gardens for a pagan idol called Pachamama. He even blessed this idol. On Oct. 7, the idol was placed in front of the main altar of St. Peter’s Bascilica and carried in procession to the Synod Hall. This is an act of idolatry which is a mortal sin against the First Commandment. Those in attendance, including the Pope, Cardinals, Bishops, etc., have separated themselves from the Church. They are no longer Catholic.

I think James Hitchcock said you’d have to go back to the 9th century to locate a pope whose repulsiveness extended to teachings.

No Pope is bigger than Gods Church. Popes are human. PF is more human than PJP2 and Benedict ie. flawed and has lacks the holiness of his predecessors. But that’s on him to answer to God.

The Roman Curia is not above our Creator. Faith can move mountains and will defeat the rot which exists in the Roman Curia regardless how PF stacks it in his favour. Have Faith!

Yes Ezabelle.

Funny thing about dry rot. The owner of the ship picks the time and place to deal with it. Rip out the rot. Install new replacement shiplap. Move on.

Pope Francis can be beatified all he wants, but if he is not in heaven, it is not going to help.

I don’t care if Jorge Mario Bergoglio is a valid Pope or not. I damn sure won’t follow that heretical Marxist Peronist Caudillo. May God Almighty depose and anathematize him into perpetual infamy.

While there have been immoral popes and pope’s who have made theological errors which they corrected, there has never been a pope such as Bergoglio who exists in error and perpetrates error with impunity. Bergoglio stands alone.

@James Nally, one day Bergoglio the heretic will stand alone –> before the judgment seat of Jesus Christ. And he will be told, “Depart from me, you worker of iniquity! I never knew you!” He’s not going to repent. He’s a Caudillo! And he will suffer the fate that all Caudillos eventually suffer, though perhaps not until the next life. I despise him. More than any other man, he is responsible for what he says and what he does.
