The Daily Mail is clickbait tabloid. I find you don’t really need to read the article itself, just the headline and the little blurb. Takes about 5 minutes. What more would you expect from free online news site.

I think there’s been a general decline in integrity from one generation to the next and I’m not seeing where the bottom is. I don’t think it’s evenly distributed over economic sectors. I think it’s much worse in the word merchant sector than anywhere else and worse among the haut bourgeois than anywhere else.

You have to turn to British papers to see actual reporting about events in the United States, rather than narrative management. They’re less far gone than we are.
