“President Zelensky has not agreed to any such talks on behalf of Ukraine,” an official close to Zelensky told CNN. “If talks are happening, they are happening without our knowledge or blessing.” The official denied any papal role after Francis told journalists on Sunday that the Vatican was part of a mission to end the war in Ukraine.
If the people around Francis care one whit for the people of Ukraine and Russia, they’d persuade Francis to use his limited abilities elsewhere. I’m trying to think of a single situation this deeply unfortunate Pope has improved by getting involved, and I honestly can’t come up with anything.
Francis is a weak little man and not nearly as bright as he thinks he is. Putin is amoral, ruthless, and shrewd about most things (this war being an exception). Putin will use Francis like a dishrag, much like the Chinese already are.
There is no way I trust the man leading Ukraine nor the ones worshipping him in DC.
That said, is the goal to make US such a s***hole that we would settle for communism over, idk, the tyranny coming out of DC?
I do remember China’s goal was to conquer us. Some think this is the final, demoralizing, before they overtake us.
So, Pope is siding w the winners. Surprise Surprise.
