Leaving Behind the Ludicrous Atheism:

Only someone who has never been a parent, or is a very bad parent, could make that idiotic statement.  Each generation a mass civilizing process takes place.  The barbarians involved are called kids.  Too many parents in the past few decades have attempted to opt out of this onerous, and absolutely necessary, task.

I’m never amazed at the atheist that is near death. How they shudder as the knowledge of their last day. Foxhole atheists do get a chance, imo, to step on their own beliefs and confirm that Jesus is their Redeemer, Lord and Judge.
Merciful and forgiving………..but they must make up their own mind as the sands slip out of the hour glass.
Interestingly, Satan has a very difficult time letting go of an atheists soul.
He has invested so much time and power in convincing that soul that when the final scene is at hand, He will do anything to block the atheist from proclaiming God divine.

I have witnessed this firsthand.

Yep. And that’s how you raise a sociopathic narcissist.

These “parents” can’t parent because they never grew up themselves. They are permanently stuck in adolescence.

Actually, if you take words like transphobe, racist, sexist, homophobe, and so on, that are used as attacks and accusations, and replace them with the word ‘sinner’, you’d realize no tent revival caricature was ever more judgmental or condemning than our society today. And most atheists I am aware of seem to have no problem with this. That also includes applying these words to wrong thinking children.

The Weather Underground amd the Students for a Democratic Society were barbarians. Organized, indoctrinated barbarians.
My sons go to school with “children” who are raised exactly like the girl in the cartoon. Believe me, it rubs off on my 15 year old.
Dostoyevsky clearly pointed out in The Brothers Karamazov that if there is no God, then there is no right or wrong. Every attempt by man to make himself into a god makes him a servant of Satan.
Our Lady warned the world at Fatima that Russia would spread her errors throughout the world…and that Russia has done, before, during and after the fall of the USSR.
Now…if I have posted something in bad taste, or in error. Iwould appreciare a correction.

Our Lady warned the world at Fatima that Russia would spread her errors throughout the world…and that Russia has done, before, during and after the fall of the USSR.

Russia hasn’t been spreading much of anything the last 30-odd years bar some minor agitprop which (a) persuades few people and (b) has as its motives raison d’etat and not much more. And I don’t think we can blame Russia for the sort of silliness the mother in the cartoon displays.

The thinking atheist has forgotten his school days.

And he assumes (as all asses do) that all theists give some unrelentingly nasty retrograde message about sin to their offspring.

It is precisely the kind of thinking one expects from a self-satisfied comfortable suburban midwit with a worthless B.A. on the wall.

Maybe our prayers can help. I’ve tried to convert an atheist, but he is too calcified.

A prayer that Our Lady of Fatima gave tge three shepherd children in July 1917 prays for Jesus to lead/take souls to Heaven especially those most in need of His mercy; and The Chaplet of Divine Mercy prays for mercy on the whole world.

But, Atheists ain’t too bright.

If an atheist is reading this.

Does that clownish, BS cartoon crap apply to Adolf Hitler?

IMO, the last, great American philosopher of the 20th century is Jerry Seinfeld.

“You are not a sinner…” but you do carry the burden of original sin caused by Adam and Eve, remedied by the Sacraments of the Catholic Church alone. It is good for you to know that most people suffer the burden of original sin as well and some do not do so well as to avoid sinning. So, be careful and pray. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
Catholic or atheist, all people are amazing and miraculous, especially the people at The American Catholic.

Actually atheists come in a lot of different flavors. In fact, disbelief in God is about the only thing many have in common. Ethics, politics and personal behavior divide many. Christopher Hitchens was known to be a skeptic in many areas and declined to assert certainty in several matters. On the other hand, his contemporary, Richard Dawkins, was rather opinionated and quite certain of his positions to the point of being difficult to hold a contrary discussion with. One of the reasons that the same propositions offered to different atheists will get you different responses.

Donald- Pell did a fine job schooling the arrogant Dawkins. This is from an hour long Q & A in 2012. You can skip to various parts below, however, I highly recommend you make the time to watch the entire episode.

As a side- Imagine building a career centred around trying to ascert that there is no God. The irony is that you actually centred your life around God. If something did not exist you wouldn’t need to waste your entire life arguing it didn’t. That’s lost on atheists like Hitchens, Dawkins…

Isn’t recognizing one’s flaws (or, dare I say, sins) and making an effort to correct them what amazing humans do?

Great point, Ezabelle. I remember having my whole view of atheism changed when I heard Abp. Fulton Sheen say on one of his radio programs, which used to be heard on EWTN radio (maybe they still are, IDK), “If there were no God, there would be no atheists.” I had to think about that one for a while until it made perfect sense. It arises from the knowledge of His existence that God has wired into our souls. A great many atheists only profess their creed because they don’t want to believe what they know in their hearts to be true.

Amen. Perfectly said. I’m glad you came to the right side. The Church is blessed to have converts such as yourself Frank. God called you and you answered Him. I can’t think of many things more beautiful than that.
