Disarmament is opposite of Deterrence.
People who dislike Deterrence are the worst.
We are only for it if there is no alternative and you cannot afford to house, say a mass murderer who committed crimes against humanity. Like Fauci. Given how our economy is crap thanks to Biden, well housing a worldwide mass murderer might not be economically feasible.
The difference they can’t get is one is at least afforded a trial.
They get behind killing innocents.
So. Is Tony one of those guys that tells you sodomy is a virtue?
Compare today’s murder rates with those experienced before ‘they’ decided to rewrite Church teaching and governments abolished commensurate punishment to go easy on poor, little killers.
The innocent suffer when the guilty go unpunished.
Holy Scripture, “Who sheds man’s blood shall by man have his blood shed. For man is made in the image of God.’
It’s not about deterrence. Keep your head on a swivel, keep moving, maintain a low profile, carry a weapon for that. It’s about punishing the killer.
Truth is, I would be fine with life imprisonment. The anti death penalty crowd has been relentless…amd callous in their disregard of the murder victims and their families…and…how mant of THEM support abortion? Betcha a lot….hypocrites.
MRSOPEY, and that is exactly why I got disqualified as a juror in a capital murder case. When questioned, I told the judge that I am Catholic and follow Church teachings on the death penalty, that the crimes in question were horrific, but that I could see no reason why the defendant, if found guilty, couldn’t be safely kept locked up for the duration. Last I heard, the felon was still alive on death row after 20 years, appealing his conviction and writing a book.
