Bye Sad Clown

Getting while the getting is good, before the war with China.  Careerist buffoon Milley, who believed in nothing other than his next promotion, will make his only contribution to the defense of this nation on the date of his retirement.  In retirement I assume he will be a military talking head and give sage advice similar to his prior statements that the Afghan government would hold out for months and that the Ukraine would be crushed in days.  The perfect symbol of our woke, broke military.

If I’m not mistaken, the standard retirement age for flag rank officers is 62, which can be extended to 64 at the president’s discretion. Milley is just shy of 65. As far as I can tell from spelunking around, he’s one of three flag rank officers with four stars still on active duty though born prior to 1960. Also, if I’m not mistaken, chiefs of staff are appointed for 4-year terms and his ran out at the end of 2022.

I wonder if the ink’s yet dry on his contract with either CNN or MSDNC?

good riddance. A real man would have resigned after the failure and deaths in Afghanistan. Just another hollow leader.

I’m not seeing in the stories where it says he’s leaving before the end of September.

Of the 20-odd people who’ve held the position, two were older than he is right now when they left it, one of the two by just a couple of months. He’s been unpleasant to watch in action but it doesn’t yet seem he’s hurrying out the door.

General Milley, a staunch Catholic and supporter of Catholic Chaplains, having his reputation destroyed by a draft dodger and commentators who did not serve in the armed forces. And who also serve and worship their lord and savior, Trump the Red Head. I understand why the National Catholic Reporter links this page and considers Donny McClarey a contributor to their tabloid.

Did the left re-define the word “staunch” while I wasn’t looking?

Trump had a common-and-garden I-Y disqualification which was salient during the period running from June of 1968 to December of 1969. In December of 1969, the draft lottery was instituted. Donald and Robert Trump each drew lottery numbers sufficiently high that their subcohort was never called in for a physical.

About 12% of each cohort was issued a I-Y disqualification at that time, or about 230,000 men a year. There was nothing out of the ordinary about them. You were sent to the back of the queue and could be recalled for another physical in as little as 90 days. Manpower requirements in 1968 and 1969 were not so heavy that the Selective Service had to dip into the i-Y pool, so they didn’t. People receiving such disqualifications commonly had minor problems – overweight, underweight, corrective lenses, hernias &c. Trump’s problem affected mobility and was visible on an X-ray. Joseph Biden was also given a I-Y disqualification (for athsma) at a time when he was abnormally vulnerable to being drafted. Partisan Democrats fancy that’s different because reasons.

You know what a draft dodger is, Rev. Fraud? It’s a person who engaged in fraud or received a special favor to avoid military service. There have been two consequential presidential candidates who did this: Bill Clinton and Bernie Sanders. It didn’t bother their adherents at all. Piss off.

Yeah, he is such a supporter of the Church that he kicked Catholic Chaplains out of Walter Reed:

Walter Reed is a Naval hospital. AFAICT, the Franciscans haven’t published the name on the cease-and-desist letter.

^Are you a total idiot in real life or is this a guise you assume for social media*

Most likely the former. The “Reverend” is a pedestrian (yawn) troll.

Whoever removed the Franciscans from the chapel at Walter Reed hospital on Naval Facility Bethesda is doing a grave disservice to the patients there.
