Must be a California bear. A Montana bear would have dragged him down and eaten him already. https://t.co/CkrCBEpfYX

Avoid bears like the plague. But if they are in your vicinity you must be well armed.
OK, point well taken. Do not walk around in bear country without a very powerful gun. Or two. But according to the replies on Twitter, this event was staged, part of the filming of an episode of Yellowstone. Which would answer my question: who the heck is taking this video and why isn’t he or she trying to help that guy? 😁
And no matter how well-trained that bear is, you couldn’t pay me enough to be the guy in the tree. Just ask that lion-tamer guy who got mauled by one of his “pets” some years back.

Amen. Even if the bear is de-clawed and de-fanged he could still crush a man like a grape in a bear-hug.
I just show them a picture of my extensive fly-tying collection of bear-hair streamers and “poof” they’re out of there.
this was on Twitter, and I don’t tweet. any other way to look at it?

thanks, Don. Not much of a muchness.
It’s good to see they are following Wildlife and Fisheries advice of not pushing someone down if being chased by a bear.
I guess our next coloring sheet will be not to just film when the bear has one treed?
Never been the least bit afraid of black bears until I saw one run-
OMG
